I’m packing my bags for a flight from Chicago to Ghana, leaving tomorrow night. An overnight flight will take me to London, where I will board a plane for Accra, the capital city of Ghana. I will be traveling and studying in Ghana for almost three weeks to learn all I can about contemporary sculpture and ceramics. I can’t wait to get there! This will be my first trip to the African continent and it requires a lot more planning – passports & visas, immunizations, and anti-malaria medicine. So I’d better get moving because there’s not much time left.
